Letter to Editor for Veterans' Day: November 11, 2003

Letters to the Editor (for Veterans’ Day)
Anchorage Daily News

Dear Editor

If we treasure our Bill of Rights, enjoy our freedom to vote, and all are sustained by the Faith of our choice, when we give thanks for uncountable Blessings please include a special “Thank You” to veterans, not just this Veterans’ Day, but everyday.

Our United States Armed Forces fought and died for us on the waters of Pearl Harbor, the shores of Iwo Jima, the bloody beaches of Normandy, the ice of Korea, the jungles of Vietnam, and now they serve in Iraq. They are our parents and children, brothers and sisters, neighbors and co-workers - and in Alaska their number exceeds 70,000. Every military veteran, from 1776 to Veterans’ Day 2003, is part of the fabric of everything that’s good about America. God Bless them each and all!

BOB LYNN

Representative, District 31
Chairman, House Special Committee on Military and Veterans’ Affairs
