HEALTH REPORT: BOB AND MARLENE
I’ve recovered nicely from the stent plumbing repair to my circumflex heart artery at Providence Hospital in Anchorage, and feel great. Thanks to everyone for their prayers and good wishes - it worked! However, an unexpected situation developed during my short recovery period at home in Anchorage. My wife Marlene had accompanied me on the medivac flight fvrom Juneau to Anchorage for my heart procedure. Thank God she did!
Three days after I was released from the hospital, Marlene was admitted to Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage! While visiting a physician for a routine checkup at his office, she suffered a sub-acute stroke. After a few days in the hospital, she was stabilized and was able to go home.
Marlene's doing better. But, as a result, when I had to return on February 5th to legislative duties in Juneau, she had to remain in Anchorage for follow-up medical care. I talk with her every day on the phone, and also with my children John and Mary and their families in Anchorage who are helping to watch over her. Mary is a registered nurse at Alaska Regional Hospital.
Please keep Marlene in your prayers.
