SOMES FOLKS' "REAL"FLAG DAY
Today is official “Flag Day,” and I’m a flag waver. For a lot of us veterans, the “real” Flag Day is the day we saw our American flag flying in our homeland when we got off the boat or airplane (“Freedom Bird”) from World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, and anyplace else the bad guys were shooting at us.
